All operators of motor vehicles with a permanent park in Hungary are obliged to take out an insurance policy to cover damage caused during the operation of the vehicle. Compulsory motor insurance (KGFB) is designed to provide increased protection for injured parties and to adequately cover justified claims for damages against the insured as a result of damage caused by the use of a motor vehicle.
